As a Korean-American female artist born and based in San Francisco, California, my creative journey is deeply rooted in my fascination with the natural world's beauty and complexity. Since 2020, my artistic exploration has centered around the watermelon, viewed through a surrealist perspective. This theme has led to the creation of landscapes and abstract paintings that blend the familiar fruit with fantastical elements, presenting whimsical visions that challenge the boundaries of reality.

My academic background is as diverse as my artistic one. I earned a BA in Illustration from the American Academy of Art in Chicago and a Master's in Graphic Design and Media Arts from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Additionally, my degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences has deepened my appreciation and understanding of the natural environment, further inspiring my commitment to explore and protect it through my artistic endeavors. This unique blend of art and science informs my creative process, allowing me to weave ecological themes subtly into my work, and fostering a deeper connection between my art and the environmental issues I am passionate about.
